The Dragon Soul Torch is an amazing aquarium product. It will grow well under a multitude of different conditions but does require a little care if you are new to this fish species. But still do advise that you do add brine shrimp and myrrhaphy to your tank every week.

It was initially bought as a one gallon wonder but has rapidly expanded from there. At fourteen and half inches it is the largest of the four species of dragon soul torches I have bred. It has large green “tongue” tentacles that are like tentacle mouths and large white “snout”. It is a rather delicate fish, but is otherwise quite healthy. It is a decent medium to light gold colored fish overall.

The reason it has become so popular with aquarists is simply because it is easy to care for. With its stockier coloration and less “tentacles” it can be kept in small groups or individuals. This is ideal for beginning reef aquarium enthusiasts or anyone who would like to keep a smaller sized species like the common goldfish or an albino nudibranch.

What makes this particular dragon soul torch so beautiful to look at is its array of bright colors. It starts out a lovely yellow color and turns an intense orange almost immediately. As it matures it changes coloration into a lovely blue-green and finally a purplish red. If you have ever seen a picture of the Great Barrier Reef, you will notice that the reef tank has a similar look. This coral reef looks stunning even without the tentacles.

One of the reasons the dragon soul is such a beautiful corals to keep is because of the way it forms its tentacles. In the wild these corals have spiny tentacles that wrap around their body. In captivity these tentacles are actually very nice to look at. They resemble the ones on the head of a cauliflower. If you have never seen these tentacles in your natural habitat, it is time to view them up close and personal.

The tentacles of the dragon soul are actually very nice to look at, but they do make the corals more beautiful. The top of the tentacles actually resemble nautilus shells. This unique trait helps to distinguish these corals from most other types of gold corals. The shape of the corals also helps to differentiate them from other reef corals. If you were to compare the dragon soul with the common gold torch coral you would see a huge difference.

Keep in mind that the dragon soul can take over the most ideal conditions in a reef tank. It is not uncommon for these corals to create enormous colonies. In these colonies they will be surrounded by many other smaller corals that are much easier to care for and grow. This makes these animals perfect for beginner corals and hobbyists with low light aquariums. It is also important to know that these corals are not the same as other types of corals that are known for being fragile and easy to kill. Dragon souls are quite sturdy for their size and can survive even the most severe conditions in a low lighting aquarium.

The sweeper tentacles of the euphyllia torch coral make it ideal for people looking for an effective ornament for an aquarium. These tentacles add a great deal of interest when wrapped around other objects such as rocks. These corals also help to build the base of the reef which is useful for other creatures that need a steady home. When it comes to the unique trait of these creatures, it is hard to go wrong with this particular ornament.
